NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
May 20, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0385
On May 16, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: The police issued him a trespassing warrant at the apartment
complex
where he lives after a dispute with someone in the front
office. The police took the front office person's word over his and didn't bother to look at
the footage of the incident. The complainant says he was discriminated against. He is
scared to call the police. They don't come out or when they do, they don't do anything. He
flagged down an officer who told him that he was on another call when all the officer
needed to do was turn around and get the guy that had robbed the complainant.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
