NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
May 20, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0391
On May 16, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: He was working as security and called APD because he had a
person trespassing. In the past when APD has been called for a trespasser, he has been told
to wait until they arrive. This time when APD arrived they questioned who he was, even
though he has been working the same place for six years and he is always in uniform. The
responding APD officers were rude to him. He was told by the officers that he should
come over when the trespasser is approached. Previously he has been told by the APD to
wait. He feels the officers are not going by the policy because they are not being consistent.
