NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
May 27, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0427
On May 26, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: The complainant was in an accident with a woman who didn't
have a license. APD came out and let the woman go without giving her a ticket. When the
complainant asked the officer why he didn't give her a ticket the officer responded that he
"didn't give her a ticket because she had been through enough dealing with you." The
complainant requested a sergeant to the scene. The sergeant agreed that the officer
shouldn't have said that. The complainant told the sergeant that he felt the officer's actions
were racially motivated and requested the watch commander. The sergeant then left. Report
