NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
June 10, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0476
On June 7, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: The complainant tried to report a sexual assault and get a
referral for a rape kit. Officer
was dismissive and did not offer her any resources
or compassion. The complainant states that Officer
has no business dealing
with women or children who have been victimized. He would not give the complainant his
badge number or a business card and instead wrote her case number on a tiny scrap of
paper.
The complainant also interacted with Officer
, who basically laughed her off and
dismissed her claims.
The complainant does not want either officer to respond to her calls and she wants to speak
with their commanding officer.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
