NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
July 22, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0602
On July 20, 2022, the OPO received an email complaint.
The complainant alleges: On
between
, I turned right
from
onto
from a full stop enforced by a stop sign
(
neighborhood). My black Jeep Grand Cherokee was at capacity with two infants,
two female adults, and myself. As I proceeded northwestwards on
a police SUV
sped to my side with lights off and the window down. The officer driving held a machine
gun at hand, and was visibly flustered. Since his lights weren't on, I confusingly slowed
my car to a stop, rolled down my window, and asked what was wrong. He asked me if I
had seen him driving down
as I took my right turn. I responded no, and asked if
I had done anything wrong. He told me I cut him off, which I found hard to believe but
apologized. He proceeded to begin shouting that I "need to pay fucking attention," all while
keeping a hand on his machine gun. Considering that I had 2 infants in the car, and have a
history of breaking bones due to vehicular negligence, I found his reaction upsetting. I am
reporting the unnecessary threatening with a machine gun, pulling me over with no signal
lights turned on, and the blatantly abusive verbal and body language of the officer. The
officer was a toad-looking white male between the ages of 24-40. After getting his fix of
power, he signaled me to drive out in front of him.

Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
