NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
August 26, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0707
On August 23, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: His son and his son's girlfriend had a domestic incident. She
tried to throw his son out of the house and take the car. His son took the car to
to get the brakes repaired and there was an incident, and the police were called. APD
responded and told his son he could not go back to the house and gave the car to the
girlfriend. The car is not in her name. How can APD just throw someone out on the streets
like that who has nowhere to go? His son is 37 years old, mentally unstable and the APD
officers took advantage of him, and he does not think it was right.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
