NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
October 14, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0936
On October 10, 2022, the OPO received an online complaint.
The complainant alleges: I filed a case for my truck being broken into and property being
stolen. No one was sent out to my truck to look and the detective didn't actually do any
investigation for a year. I provided evidence of the persons who broke into my truck and
stole my property. This includes a recorded phone call from one of the people admitting
they did it, screenshots of facebook posts, and messages of them admitting to it. Detective
has drug his feet on everything, talked to two people, and has actively
encouraged me to drop this case and ignore it. When I contacted APD Oversight to file a
complaint, I got an email stating I would be contacted in 30 days. That was over a year and
a half ago and no one contacted me by email or left me a voicemail or even a text. I have
followed up numerous times but have only met walls of resistance.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
