NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
October 28, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0986
On October 27, 2022, the OPO received an online complaint.
The complainant alleges: I came into Austin on
for work. Stopped at
on
to grab a roll of blue tape. In the 15min I was in the store it was long
enough for 2 thieves to steal $5000 worth of tools out of my truck. I immediately called
911 and spent the next 30 minutes being bounced back and forth from 311 to 911 until one
of the operators told me there is nothing they can do and a officer will be in contact within
3-5 days and hung up on me. My lively hood was just stolen and the sheer incompetence
displayed by your operators and officers is astounding. I will be reporting this matter to the
governor and attorney general. WORST POLICE DEPARTMENT IN THE STATE OF
TEXAS.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
