On November 4, 2022, the OPO received an email complaint.
The complainant alleges: Resident states
from APD Victims Services contacted
her
and told the resident there is no confidentiality and information goes
straight to her stalker. Employee told resident to call 911 and said she was wondering if
the resident had even asked for a restraining order, even though the incident has been
happening for over a year and did have one. Employee told resident she was aware of what
was going on but would not do anything to assist. Employee suggested resident move and
suggested resident call Austin Tennent's Council, which the resident did four years ago.
When resident asked for a replacement for the employee, she said her supervisor is on
vacation. Resident also has never heard from the detective for her assault case from
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
