CITY OF OFFICE OF NOTICE OF FORMAL POLICE OVERSIGHT COMPLAINT FOUNDED ICMS #: 2020-1016 June 17, 2020 Complaint: complainant, submitted an online complaint to the Office of Police Oversight stating the following: "I was at the peaceful protest and me and my girlfriend and a few others started running when the officers started shooting tear gas, we ran to a small trail/ravine behind to catch our breath and then we got fully engulfed in tear gas, we couldn't see and my girlfriend has asthma and was severely impacted by the tear gas surrounding us. We weren't being violent, all we were doing was holding signs towards the back of the crowd. And at one point we saw am officer point a gun directly at a protester who was standing there. Not doing anything else except standing there. And i have pictures of the officer doing that." The City of Austin is committed to compliance with the American Disabilities Act.
