About the Workforce Development Program
The Economic Development Department’s Workforce Development program manages multiple, multiyear service delivery contracts between the City and local nonprofit organizations that provide free or low-cost workforce training to individuals pursuing self-sustaining employment.
These contracts grant various organizations funds to empower Austin-area job seekers with career and occupational training in high-demand sectors such as healthcare, information technology, the skilled trades, advanced manufacturing, and more.
Currently, the City funds the training providers listed below. We encourage job seekers and employers to visit an organization’s website for more information about its services.
Note: This Workforce Development program does not award funds to creatives and businesses. For those funding opportunities, visit the Economic Development Department’s Funding page.
