UPDATE: APD Aggravated Assault Unit Detectives announce the arrest of two suspects in connection to the Lakeline Mall Shooting that occurred on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
A juvenile male was arrested and booked into the Williamson County Juvenile Detention Facility. He is charged with Aggravated Assault and one count of Deadly Conduct. Yaneth Medina was also arrested and booked into the Travis County Jail. Medina is charged with Tampering with Evidence, a third-degree felony. Both were arrested on April 2, 2025.

APD's Aggravated Assault Unit Detectives request the public’s help with identifying a suspect in connection to the shooting that occurred on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at approximately 3:55 p.m. The incident occurred inside Lakeline Mall, located at 11200 block of Lakeline Mall Drive.
The suspect, whose photo and description are included in this release, and a victim left the scene immediately after the shooting. Initially, investigating agencies had no indication that a victim was injured due to a delay in seeking medical treatment. Evidence at the scene did not clearly suggest any injuries occurred. It was later determined that the victim sustained minor injuries and self-reported to the hospital after leaving the scene.
The suspect is described as:
- Hispanic male
- Late teens to early 20s
- He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, dark shoes
