On Saturday, November 23, 2024, at approximately 5:38 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) Officers responded to the intersection of West Koenig Lane and Allandale Road for a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased on December 6, 2024, at 1:53 a.m. The driver remained on scene, was cooperative, and not impaired.
 
This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 84th fatal crash of 2024, resulting in 89 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2023, 80 fatal crashes resulted in 83 fatalities.
