On Sunday, July 28, 2024, at approximately 12 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian at 5010 Old Manor Road. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, where she later died due to the extent of the injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured, was not impaired, remained on scene, and is cooperating with the investigation.
 
This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 47th fatal crash of 2024, resulting in 50 fatalities for the year. On the date of this crash in 2023, 53 fatal crashes resulted in 53 fatalities.
