On March 9, 2025, at approximately 3:08 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) Officers responded to a crash involving three vehicles in the 3800 block of Airport Boulevard. The driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead on the scene. The other drivers and passengers were taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
 
This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 12th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 12 fatalities. This investigation is ongoing. On the date of this crash in 2024, 12 fatal crashes resulted in 12 deaths.
