On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at approximately 8:52 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 1900 block of East Ben White SVRD EB. Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS) responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian, later identified as Isiah Turner, to a local hospital. Mr. Turner was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 7th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 7 fatalities. This investigation is ongoing. On the date of this crash in 2024, 10 fatal crashes resulted in 10 deaths.
