On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at approximately 7:07 p.m., (APD) Austin Police Department officers responded to a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle in the 1800 block of S Capital of Texas HWY NB. The motorcycle rider, later identified as Jordan Sam Ayasra, was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the vehicle was not injured, was not impaired, remained on scene, and is cooperating with the investigation.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 18th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 22 fatalities. This investigation is ongoing.  On the date of this crash in 2024, 18 fatal crashes resulted in 18 deaths.
