One Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at approximately 5:59 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 13600 block of North US Highway 183 NB. The vehicle left the scene. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 33rd fatal crash of 2024, resulting in 34 fatalities for the year. On the date of this crash in 2023, 43 fatal crashes resulted in 43 fatalities.
