On Friday, January 31, 2025, at approximately 2:44 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian in the 13000 block of Pond Springs Rd. The vehicle involved left the scene. The pedestrian, who later was identified as Beth Wynne, was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased on February 1, 2025.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 5th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 5 fatalities. This investigation is ongoing. On the date of this crash in 2024, 2 fatal crashes resulted in 2 deaths.
