On Friday, December 13, 2024, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) Officers responded to a single vehicle collision in the 11500 block of Jollyville Rd. The driver, later identified as Darell Moore West, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
 
This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 86th fatal crash of 2024, resulting in 91 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2023, 87 fatal crashes resulted in 90 fatalities.
