On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at approximately 3:35 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) Officers responded to a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 11000 block of N IH-35 SB. The unidentified pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the vehicle was not injured, remained on scene, and is cooperating with the investigation.
 
This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 78th fatal crash of 2024, resulting in 83 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2023, 77 fatal crashes resulted in 80 fatalities.
