AUSTIN, TEXAS – Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for March 2023 was up 6.52% compared to March 2022 with 1,941,044 passengers flying during the month, making March 2023 the fifth busiest month on record at AUS.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for March 2023 was 1,941,044, up 6.52% compared to March 2022. March 2023 enplanements totaled 961,261, up 6.17%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 753,797, up 7%; American Airlines passengers totaled 474,642, down 1.1%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 219,700, up 1.4%; United Airlines passengers totaled 218,943, up 14.9%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 79,470, up 76.5%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 73,196, down 10.1%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 38,408, up 21.7%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 22,687, down 38.2%; British Airways passengers totaled 17,220, up 64.3%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 8,251, down 21.8%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 7,381, up 23.7%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 6,208, up 1,177.4%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 5,958; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 5,259; Aeromexico passengers totaled 5,026, down 3.3%; Air Canada passengers totaled 4,284, up 47.1%; and Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 282, up 36.9%.
March 2023 air cargo totaled 25,880,138 lbs., down 7.39% compared to March 2022. International air cargo totaled 1,989,941 lbs., up 74.63%. Air Transport International carried 8,929,430 lbs., up 83.3%; Federal Express carried 7,470,907 lbs., down 5.8%; United Parcel Services carried 3,048,498 lbs., down 11.3%; and Atlas Air carried 1,407,082 lbs., down 75.1%.
Air Services transferred 306,673 lbs. of mail, down 49.58%; and 3,448,958 lbs. of belly freight, up 7.13%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 4,581, down 9.63%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 24,120, down 0.58%.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – March 2023 was 4,911,607, up 19.13% compared to January – March 2022. January – March 2023 enplanements totaled 2,429,759, up 18.83%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 1,895,606, up 22.3%; American Airlines passengers totaled 1,235,557, up 9.7%; United Airlines passengers totaled 556,985, up 29.4%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 542,549, up 15.5%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 210,456, up 75.4%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 193,052, up 1.6%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 74,953, up 15.3%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 55,816, down 31.4%; British Airways passengers totaled 39,049, up 98.4%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 25,817, down 26.3%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 17,713, up 35.5%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 14,327, up 2,847.9%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 13,643, down 3.3%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 13,440; Air Canada passengers totaled 11,222, up 67.8%; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 9,962; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 1,128, up 52.6%; and National Airlines passengers totaled 332.
January – March 2023 air cargo totaled 75,282,188 lbs., up 2.33% compared to January – March 2022. International air cargo totaled 5,575,424 lbs., up 179.05%. Air Transport International carried 28,257,656 lbs., up 63.6%; Federal Express carried 20,511,611 lbs., up 3.2%; United Parcel Services carried 8,504,941 lbs., down 8.6%; and Atlas Air carried 4,492,123 lbs., down 62.3%.
Air Services transferred 1,113,149 lbs. of mail, down 40.48%; and 9,476,607 lbs. of belly freight, up 33.99%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 12,197 for January – March 2023, down 1.87%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 65,526, up 4.94%.
