AUSTIN, TEXAS – Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for June 2023 was up 1.19% compared to June 2022 with 2,009,373 passengers flying during the month.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for June 2023 was 2,009,373, up 1.19% compared to June 2022. June 2023 enplanements totaled 1,020,650, up 1.15%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 761,649, up 1.8%; American Airlines passengers totaled 475,007, down 6.3%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 250,741, up 7.3%; United Airlines passengers totaled 215,038, up 7.1%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 86,270, down 1.3%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 71,130, up 37.1%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 47,038, down 8.7%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 22,448, down 27%; British Airways passengers totaled 18,684, up 7.6%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 9,650, up 25.6%; Air Canada passengers totaled 9,363, down 7.7%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 8,435, down 20.8%; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 7,725, up 21%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 7,103, up 17.7%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 6,896, up 3.1%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 5,406, up 6.4%; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 4,338, down 5.7%; WestJet passengers totaled 2,198; and Global Crossing Airlines passengers totaled 254.
June 2023 air cargo totaled 21,769,372 lbs., down 16.64% compared to June 2022. International air cargo totaled 1,027,098 lbs., up 28.15%. Federal Express carried 6,886,955 lbs., down 6.9%; Air Transport International carried 4,726,679 lbs., down 20.9%; United Parcel Services carried 2,806,525 lbs., down 18.4%; and Atlas Air carried 2,795,618 lbs., down 35.7%.
Air Services transferred 299,235 lbs. of mail, down 45.94%; and 2,613,792 lbs. of belly freight, up 4.26%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 3,796, down 11.58%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 23,190, up 1.85%.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – June 2023 was 10,748,273, up 7.53% compared to January – June 2022. January – June 2023 enplanements totaled 5,398,391, up 7.36%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 4,124,362, up 8.3%; American Airlines passengers totaled 2,646,961, down 0.6%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 1,241,739, up 6.9%; United Airlines passengers totaled 1,200,529, up 17.4%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 431,416, down 4.4%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 430,220, up 68.4%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 195,552, up 2.6%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 126,841, down 29.8%; British Airways passengers totaled 90,888, up 43.2%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 50,118, down 24.0%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 41,204, up 31.1%; Air Canada passengers totaled 34,613, up 38.2%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 33,669, up 94.5%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 32,246, up 122.4; Aeromexico passengers totaled 29,212, down 0.5%; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 27,840, up 272.8%; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 6,827, down 8.3%; WestJet passengers totaled 2,980; National Airlines passengers totaled 332; Global Crossing Airlines passengers totaled 254; All Nippon passengers totaled 198; Nolinor Aviation passengers totaled 160; and Maleth-Aero passengers totaled 112.
January – June 2023 air cargo totaled 143,726,216 lbs., down 7.09% compared to January – June 2022. International air cargo totaled 10,703,308 lbs., up 48.06%. Air Transport International carried 42,647,157 lbs., up 7.6%; Federal Express carried 40,947,665 lbs., down 2.2%; United Parcel Services carried 16,880,829 lbs., down 12.8%; and Atlas Air carried 14,066,888 lbs., down 34%.
Air Services transferred 2,129,263 lbs. of mail, down 42.15%; and 17,256,543 lbs. of belly freight, up 4.98%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 24,242 for January – June 2023, down 7.58%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 135,582, up 2.26%.
