AUSTIN, TEXAS – Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for July 2023 was up 3.68% compared to July 2022 with 2,040,981 passengers flying during the month, setting a new record for busiest month ever at the airport.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for July 2023 was 2,040,981, up 3.68% compared to July 2022. July 2023 enplanements totaled 1,010,768, up 2.62%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 755,093, down 0.9%; American Airlines passengers totaled 464,342, down 8.7%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 269,819, up 20.6%; United Airlines passengers totaled 224,768, up 15.7%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 92,545, up 27.3%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 76,694, up 44.2%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 48,234, down 13.8%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 23,848, down 3%; British Airways passengers totaled 18,141, up 11.3%; Air Canada passengers totaled 10,422, down 2.6%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 10,416, up 44.7%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 8,349, down 13.7%; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 7,172, up 24.4%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 6,879, up 21.9%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 5,887, down 12.5%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 5,709, up 0.4%; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 4,960, down 17%; Copa Airlines passengers totaled 4,198; WestJet passengers totaled 2,496; and Global Crossing Airlines passengers totaled 1,009.
July 2023 air cargo totaled 19,854,225 lbs., down 21.73% compared to July 2022. International air cargo totaled 1,542,881 lbs., up 73.34%. Federal Express carried 6,082,120 lbs., down 14.4%; Air Transport International carried 4,772,710 lbs., down 46.3%; United Parcel Services carried 2,205,733 lbs., down 28.3%; Atlas Air carried 1,457,639 lbs., down 21.1%; and Sun Country Airlines carried 1,447,021 lbs.
Air Services transferred 159,931 lbs. of mail, down 68.28%; and 2,847,927 lbs. of belly freight, up 19.25%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 3,305, down 11.63%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 23,056 up 2.58%.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – July 2023 was 12,789,254, up 6.90% compared to January – July 2022. January – July 2023 enplanements totaled 6,409,159, up 6.58%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 4,879,455, up 6.8%; American Airlines passengers totaled 3,111,303, down 1.9%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 1,511,558, up 9.1%; United Airlines passengers totaled 1,425,297, up 17.1%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 523,961, down 0.01%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 506,914, up 64.3%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 243,786, down 1.2%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 150,689, down 26.6%; British Airways passengers totaled 109,029, up 36.7%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 58,467, down 22.7%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 51,620, up 33.6%; Air Canada passengers totaled 45,035, up 26%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 39,556, up 64.5%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 39,125, up 94.3%; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 35,012, up 164.6%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 34,921, down 0.4%; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 11,787, down 12.2%; WestJet passengers totaled 5,476; Copa Airlines passengers totaled 4,198; National Airlines passengers totaled 332; All Nippon passengers totaled 198; Nolinor Aviation passengers totaled 160; and Maleth-Aero passengers totaled 112.
January – July 2023 air cargo totaled 163,580,441 lbs., down 9.16% compared to January – July 2022. International air cargo totaled 12,246,189 lbs., up 50.83%. Air Transport International carried 47,419,867 lbs., down 2.2%; Federal Express carried 47,029,785 lbs., down 3.9%; United Parcel Services carried 19,086,562 lbs., down 15%; and Atlas Air carried 15,524,527 lbs., down 33%.
Air Services transferred 2,289,194 lbs. of mail, down 45.3%; and 20,104,470 lbs. of belly freight, up 6.79%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 27,547 for January – July 2023, down 8.08%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 158,638, up 2.3%.
