AUSTIN, Texas – Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for January 2023 was up 37.32% compared to January 2022 with 1,507,056 passengers flying during the month.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January 2023 was 1,507,056, up 37.32% compared to January 2022. January 2023 enplanements totaled 742,726, up 38.20%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 572,658, up 41.2%; American Airlines passengers totaled 386,195, up 26.7%; United Airlines passengers totaled 171,159, up 53.4%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 163,266, up 36%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 69,163, up 86.7%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 63,458, up 26.4%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 17,607, up 0.9%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 15,794, down 24.5%; British Airways passengers totaled 12,067, up 131.4%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 9,235, down 31.4%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 5,633, up 58.7%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 4,598; Aeromexico passengers totaled 4,580, down 4.1%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 4,358; Air Canada passengers totaled 3,627, up 63%; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 3,086; and Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 572, up 57.1%.
January 2023 air cargo totaled 23,742,428 lbs., down 0.09% compared to January 2022. International air cargo totaled 1,608,030 lbs., up 468.44%. Air Transport International carried 8,623,468 lbs., up 2.3%; Federal Express carried 6,666,289 lbs., up 15.4%; United Parcel Services carried 2,712,291 lbs., down 9.3%; and Atlas Air carried 1,569,502 lbs., down 7.8%.
Air Services transferred 431,024 lbs. of mail, down 36.83%; and 2,800,222 lbs. of belly freight, up 70.39%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 3,815, down 1.11%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 21,370, up 7.10%.
