On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at approximately 10:16 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a call of a stabbing at 4411 Airport Boulevard. One caller stated that two people were dead. Officers and Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (A/TCEMS) arrived on scene and located the body of a female inside the residence who was later identified as Iris Hernandez-Perdomo. Iris was pronounced deceased on scene. They also located a male inside the residence who was identified as Wilfredo Chavez-Chincilla. Wildredo was also pronounced deceased on scene.
 
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to process the scene and interview witnesses. The investigation showed that Wilfredo Chavez-Chincilla stabbed his wife Iris Hernandez-Perdomo causing her death. Wilfredo then killed himself with the knife.
