Deceased (Victim): Derick Fajardo-Reyes, Hispanic male, 11/12/2009
On Monday, March 31, 2025, at approximately 3:10 a.m., Austin 9-1-1 received multiple calls reporting a shooting in the 13000 block of Harrisglenn Drive. When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive male with apparent gunshot wounds, sitting inside a black sedan that had also collided with a utility pole. The male, later identified as Derick Fajardo-Reyes, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 7:17 a.m.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to process the scene and interview witnesses. The initial investigation revealed that Mr. Fajardo-Reyes was in a vehicle with other occupants when it was shot. The suspect fled the area and remains at large.
Prior to the shooting, Mr. Fajardo-Reyes was accompanied by an unidentified female. The Austin Police Homicide Unit is seeking information to help identify this woman. If anyone has additional photos, videos, or potential evidence, please submit them by clicking here or scanning the QR code below.

This case is being investigated as Austin's 11th homicide of 2025.
