On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at approximately 5:04 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a check welfare call at the InTown Suites, located at 12989 US HWY 183. The callers reported an unresponsive man, later identified as Robert StJohn, in a hotel room. Officers arrived on scene and located StJohn suffering from an apparent stab wound. StJohn was pronounced deceased on scene at 5:17 p.m.
 
Homicide detectives and crimes scene specialists responded to process the scene. During the course of the investigation, information was gathered by investigators that Mr. StJohn associated with a female, identified as Indira Zink. After speaking with witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage and other evidence collected during the investigations, Detectives learned that on Monday, February 19, 2024, Zink stabbed StJohn in his room at the InTown Suites causing his death.
 
A warrant was subsequently issued for Zink’s arrest. On Friday, February 23, 2024, the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Zink. Zink is currently charged with first degree felony murder.
