On Thursday, March 25, 2021, Austin 911 received a call of shots fired at 1109 Kenyon Drive. Upon arrival officers discovered 23-year-old Garrett Gamond-Hill had been shot. Austin-Travis County EMS attempted life saving measures, but were unable to save Mr. Gamond-Hill. He was pronounced deceased on the scene at 12:27 p.m. by Dr. Escott.
Homicide detectives and crime scene personnel responded to the scene and began investigating. On scene witnesses stated that an unknown suspect rang the doorbell to the residence. Mr. Gamond-Hill answered the door and was shot after having a short conversation with the suspect. The suspect was described as a black male, thin build, mid 20s, wearing a dark hoody. The suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a black sedan.
The Travis County Medical Examiner will be conducting an autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect(s).
