AUSTIN, TEXAS – Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for February 2023 was up 21.63% compared to February 2022 with 1,463,507 passengers flying during the month.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for February 2023 was 1,463,507, up 21.63% compared to February 2022. February 2023 enplanements totaled 725,772, up 20.60%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 569,151, up 29.5%; American Airlines passengers totaled 374,720, up 9.7%; United Airlines passengers totaled 166,883, up 29.9%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 159,583, up 19.8%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 61,823, up 62.9%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 56,398, down 3.5%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 18,938, up 18.7%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 17,335, down 27.1%; British Airways passengers totaled 9,762, up 145%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 8,331, down 24.3%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 4,699, up 32.2%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 4,037, down 2.3%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 3,761; Air Canada passengers totaled 3,311, up 113.9% Lufthansa passengers totaled 2,884; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 1,617; and Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 274, up 62.1%.
February 2023 air cargo totaled 25,659,622 lbs., up 17.37% compared to February 2022. International air cargo totaled 1,977,453 lbs., up 243.58 %. Air Transport International carried 10,704,758 lbs., up 169.5 %; Federal Express carried 6,374,415 lbs., up 3.2%; United Parcel Services carried 2,744,152 lbs., down 4.8%; and Atlas Air carried 1,515,539 lbs., down 66.9%.
Air Services transferred 375,452 lbs. of mail, down 35.23%; and 3,227,427 lbs. of belly freight, up 46.05%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 3,801, up 5.94%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 20,036, up 9.93%.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – February 2023 was 2,970,563, up 29.12%, compared to January – February 2022. January – February 2023 enplanements totaled 1,468,498, up 28.90 %. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 1,141,809, up 35.1%; American Airlines passengers totaled 760,915, up 17.7%; United Airlines passengers totaled 338,042, up 40.9%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 322,849, up 27.5%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 130,986, up 74.7%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 119,856, up 10.3%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 36,545, up 9.4%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 33,129, down 25.8%; British Airways passengers totaled 21,829, up 137.3%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 17,566, down 28.2%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 10,332, up 45.4%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 8,617, down 3.3%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 8,119; Lufthansa passengers totaled 7,482; Air Canada passengers totaled 6,938, up 83.9%; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 4,703; and Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 846, up 58.7%.
January – February 2023 air cargo totaled 49,402,050 lbs., up 8.28% compared to January – February 2022. International air cargo totaled 3,585,483 lbs., up 317.68%. Air Transport International carried 19,328,226 lbs., up 55.8%; Federal Express carried 13,040,704 lbs., up 9.1%; United Parcel Services carried 5,456,443 lbs., down 7.1%; and Atlas Air carried 3,085,041lbs., down 50.9%.
Air Services transferred 806,476 lbs. of mail, down 36.10%; and 6,027,649 lbs. of belly freight, up 56.43%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 7,616 for January – February 2023, up 3.46%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 41,406, up 8.45%.
