AUSTIN, TEXAS – Passenger traffic growth for February 2020 was 11.8% higher compared to February 2019 with 1,247,469 passengers flying during the month.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for February 2020 was 1,247,469 up 11.8% compared to February 2019. February 2020 enplanements totaled 621,120, up 11.5%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 397,595, down 2.2%; American Airlines passengers totaled 237,471, up 4.3%; United Airlines passengers totaled 183,811, up 13.8%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 184,262, up 28.6%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 75,392, up 175.2%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 46,523, up 17.2%; Alaska Airlines passengers 46,426, up 15.2%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 44,273, up 10.5%; British Airways passengers totaled 10,382, up 3.9%; Lufthansa  passengers totaled 6,073; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 6,110, down 46.3%; AeroMexico passengers totaled 3,451, up 52.7%; Air Canada passengers totaled 4,326, down 4.2%; Norwegian Air, passengers totaled 1,147; Swift Air passengers totaled 183, up 210.2% and Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 44, down 92.7%.

February 2020 air cargo totaled 14,443,440 lbs., up 3.1% compared to February 2019. International air cargo totaled 1,757,933 lbs., up 0.3%. Federal Express carried 7,185,448 lbs., down 2.5% and United Parcel Service carried 2,493,948 lbs., down 9.4%.

Air Services transferred 941,758 lbs. of mail, up 6.5%; and 2,073,694 lbs. of belly freight, down 2.9%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 3,312, up 3.7%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 15,538, up 3.7%.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – February 2020 was 2,525,942 up 12.5%, compared to January – February 2019. January – February 2020 enplanements totaled 1,249,523, up 12.4%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 823,174, down 1.3%; American Airlines passengers totaled 482,399, up 4.5%; United Airlines passengers totaled 368,260, up 10.9%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 370,319, up 27.7%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 88,480, up 3.0%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 149,908, up 447.2%; Alaska Airlines passengers 92,124, up 11.5%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 93,758, up 14.9%; British Airways passengers totaled 24,072, up 5.5%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 11,631, down 41.4%; Air Canada passengers totaled 8,322, down 5.3%; Lufthansa  passengers totaled 13,637; Norwegian Air passengers totaled 1,147; AeroMexico passengers totaled 7,596, up 38% ; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 271, down 77.2%; Swift Air passengers totaled 928, up 100.9%.

January – February 2020 air cargo totaled 29,674.559 lbs., up 3.2% compared to 2019. International air cargo totaled 3,038,705 lbs., up 1.4%. Federal Express carried 14,577,582 lbs., down 6.4%; and United Parcel Service carried 5,518,232 lbs., down 4.0%.

Air Services transferred 2,033,141 lbs. of mail, up 10.4%; and 3,703,557 lbs. of belly freight, down 0.8 %.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 6,622 for January – February 2020, down 4.5%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 31,917, up 1.78%.
