FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASERelease Date:
Three Recreation Centers in Austin offer adult studio classes in a colab with the DAC.
Spring 2025 Registration is now open for the Dougherty Arts Center (DAC) Satellite Studio Program, which offers adult studio classes at three offsite locations in Austin: McBeth Recreation Center, Delores Duffie Recreation Center, and Dittmar Recreation Center.
The Satellite Studio Program builds partnerships within the Parks and Recreation Department and expands the DAC’s programming beyond its current physical location. Just as the DAC’s onsite adult studio classes are designed for the DAC's unique space and needs, each of the satellite classes and workshops are unique to the hosting site.
Classes and workshops are designed to accommodate every skill level, with instruction by working professional artists. For spring 2025, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of styles, including creating colanders, mugs, pet bowls, garden gnomes, and vases, even paper-making.
Learn more and register for classes by visiting the DAC Satellite Studio Program webpage.
