The Austin Police Department Missing Persons Unit requests the community's help finding two-month-old Novah White, whose current well-being is unknown. White was reported missing to APD on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 2:38 p.m. Due to the family’s lack of cooperation, investigative details were delayed. Investigators with Child Protective Services (CPS) reported significant concerns for the mother, Kayla Washington, and the father, Samuel Travis White, due to drug use and domestic violence in the home. Washington's last known residence was in the 6400 block of Loyola Lane. Detective are looking for both parents.
Detectives believe Washington allowed White to care for their other children, despite his known violent history. CPS has Washington's other children currently in custody. However, Washington refuses to let CPS check on Novah White's welfare and has not responded to APD detectives by phone or email.
