Austin Police Department (APD) officers, along with Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services and the Austin Fire Department, responded to the scene of a failure to stop and render aid crash on November 23, 2024 at approximately 6:35 p.m. The crash happened in the 7800 block of S 1st St.
 
A preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of a small black sedan, possibly a 2019-2023 Toyota Corolla (see pictures below), collided with a vehicle and a pedestrian before fleeing the scene without rendering aid. As a result, the pedestrian sustained injuries and was taken to a local hospital. The suspect vehicle will have front-end collision damage and will be missing the passenger side mirror.
