Location:  S. Lamar Boulevard and Hether Street

On Saturday, February 8, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian near the intersection of S. Lamar Boulevard and Hether Street. The suspect vehicle did not stop to render aid or call 9-1-1, and instead left the scene immediately after the crash. Officers and Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS) arrived on scene and located a victim with injuries. ATCEMS transported the pedestrian to a local hospital, where he has undergone multiple surgeries as a result of the crash.
 
The suspect vehicle is described as:

• Possibly a Ford Chassis Cab
• Truck
• Unknown year
• Two-door
• White in color
• Black grille guard
