The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit is requesting public assistance with any information regarding an aggravated robbery that occurred on Monday, January 20, 2025, at about 11:23 p.m. at Rutland Market located at 900 Rutland Drive.
 
The suspect entered the store and immediately displayed a black handgun and demanded that the clerk open the register. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store on foot headed westbound on Rutland Drive.
 
The suspect is described as:

• White or Hispanic male
• 18-25 years of age
• Approximately 5’ 9” – 6’00” tall
• Medium build
• He was last seen wearing a black balaclava mask, black hoodie with red shirt underneath, white gloves (possibly nitrile or latex gloves), black pants, white shoes, and a distinctive red/white checkered backpack.
