Austin Police Department Detectives request the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect in connection to a case of mail theft that occurred at 2401 Aldrich Street. The incident happened on Wednesday, January 3, 2023 at approximately 3:57 a.m.
 
The suspect, whose photo and description are included in this release, entered the apartment complex mail room. He used a mail master key to open all mail boxes and stole a large amount of mail.
 
The suspect is described as:

• Black male
• Approximately in his 20’s years of age
• He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, Nike gray tennis shoes, and a pink bine cap

 
Anyone with any information should submit their tip anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
