The Austin Police Department (APD) Highway Enforcement Investigations unit is requesting the public’s help with identifying a suspect vehicle in connection to a leaving the scene of a crash case. The incident occurred on Sunday, September 1, 2024, between 8:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., in the 12100 block of N IH 35 SVRD SB.
 
A 77-year-old victim was attempting to cross the road after his vehicle had two flat tires. While trying to cross to get help, the victim was hit by a passing vehicle. The victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the suspect vehicle did not stop to call 9-1-1.
