On Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to the Buffalo Wild Wings at 13000 N IH 35 SVRD SB. When officers arrived, they learned that a parent was picking up food and left the vehicle running with an eight-year-old child inside.
A suspect entered the vehicle and drove away with the child inside. The eight-year-old was dropped off three miles from the scene on a sidewalk. A composite drawing of the suspect was not provided until recently.
Later that day, APD detectives found some items the suspect threw out of the car in the Riverside Drive and Pleasant Valley area.
Although the vehicle was recovered the next day, Detectives are looking for the suspect.
The suspect is described as:
- Late 20 early 30 years of age
- Black male
- 5’10” tall
- Medium build
- Tattoo on right side of the face (unknown what word or letters)
- Tattoos on the right arm
- He was last seen wearing a red shirt and a black wave cap.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
