Location: 12901 N IH-35 SVRD NB (Fitness Connection)

On Thursday, February 27, 2025, at approximately 6:19 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a Shoot/Stab Service call at the Fitness Connection located at 12901 N IH-35 SVRD NB. When officers arrived on the scene, they located one subject with gunshot wounds. The subject was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

APD Aggravated Assault Detectives responded to process the scene and interview witnesses. The initial investigation indicated that a woman was seen with a knife in the parking lot near Fitness Connection, and a man shot the woman in the parking lot. The man who fired the shot was detained.

Detectives have made contact with all parties involved and are continuing the interview process. Currently, there have been no arrests made as a result of this incident, and the investigation is ongoing.  

At this time, Detectives do not believe there is an outstanding threat to the public.
