Zilker Great Lawn - Fall Maintenance

For over 15 years, annual fall lawn maintenance occurs in the days following the peak summer and fall event seasons. During this time frame, the lawn is closed.

What is fall lawn maintenance? The period where aeration, irrigation, and nutrient application occurs.

Weather & staff work pace allowing, the maintenance will occur:

• October 19 - November 1 (anticipated end date)

The Annual Turf Maintenance at Zilker Park is expected to be complete Thursday 10/31/2024 –

Access to the Great Lawn will be available:

• Friday, November 1st - Fencing removed from Great Lawn
• Tuesday, November 12th - Portions of Great Lawn will remain available to park users

Lou Neff Road will remain closed - Parking will be available at rock area of the Stratford lot and all paved parking lots south of Barton Springs Road.
