Golf ATX, the Austin Parks & Recreation Department’s golf division, cordially invites you to attend the 125th Anniversary Celebration of the Hancock golf course. Founded in 1899 by Lewis Hancock, former mayor of Austin from 1895-1897, the Hancock Golf Course stands today as one of the oldest golf courses in the state of Texas and this year celebrates its 125th anniversary. Event festivities will include guest speakers, historical sign unveiling, and breakfast followed by the 125 Anniversary Cup golf tournament.
