This comprehensive 5-hour workshop, Get Started with Nonprofit Bookkeeping, is a great session for those new to nonprofit bookkeeping and also a great option for those deep in the mix and wanting to start fresh with clarity. We have designed the session to meet the unique financial needs of nonprofit organizations. Learn how to set up and manage your books using a custom spreadsheet template or a free QuickBooks trial tailored for nonprofits. This hands-on session covers tracking donations and grants, managing restricted funds, and generating key financial reports like the Statement of Activities and the Statement of Financial Position. Perfect for nonprofit leaders looking to simplify their bookkeeping and gain a clearer view of their financial health. Registration is limited to allow for adequate time and attention for the instructor in this hands-on setting.

Please plan to bring your own laptop for this class.
If you need access to a loaner you will be able to request one via email before class.

Participants will leave with a Toolkit full of helpful templates, guidance, examples, videos and software to help you make good use of the information provided after class.

We will have a brief break for lunch. Participants are encouraged to bring a sack lunch to spend that time talking with other participants and networking. That said, you can also use that time to take a short walk outside or drive down the road to get a very quick snack.

We strongly encourage in-person participation.
Most of our classes are "hybrid" with both in-person and virtual options readily available. Our hands-on workshops are different, and designed for an optimal experience in the classroom. We have made a handful of Special Accommodation virtual tickets available, for those unable to attend in person. The session will not be recorded. Active participation is required for a certificate credit to be applied.
