Sábados en Familia is a free kids’ cultural arts and crafts program delivered by the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican-American Cultural Center at Austin Central Library. All ages welcome. Free and open to the public. Gratis y abierto al público.

For January 11 at the Twin Oaks Branch Library, we will read "Sana Sana Colita de Rana" by Citali Reyes. In this story, after suffering a boo-boo while playing with her brother and her plush sidekick, Mister Rana, Tina's dream of becoming a great wrestler is put to the test. Her injury leads her to question her aspirations, especially since her brother believes that girls aren’t meant to be good wrestlers. However, Tina will discover that with a little love and a touch of "sana, sana, colita de rana," girls can accomplish anything! Participants will have the opportunity to create their own luchador masks.
