Day of the Dead:
We will welcome the memories of our loved ones with Day of the Dead altars, art installations, & activities that foster an appreciation for the sweetness and fragility of life. Discover the MACC’s large-scale interactive sculptures by Las Piñatas ATX. We will offer free sugar skull decorating and free face painting throughout the event. The collective outdoor ofrenda (altar) will be a gathering of memories that anyone can contribute to. You may bring notes or write one on-site to add to the altar.

Mexamericon- Comics Culture CommunityMexamericon:
MexAmeriCon, Central Texas' original Mexican American and Latinx Comic Book Convention, returns for its seventh year, offering a vibrant celebration of comics, storytelling, and creativity from Mexican American and Latinx communities. Since its inception in 2018, MexAmeriCon has served as a platform to highlight the rich storytelling traditions of the Latinx community through comics, art, & pop culture. The event will feature meet-and-greet opportunities with comic artists and creators, engaging panel discussions hosted by My Primos and Susto podcasts, a demonstration of the Aztec card game Nawalli, an artisan market, family-friendly activities like face painting and Lotería, and live music performances by DJ Zetroc and Outlet Odyssey.

MexAmeriCon is more than just a convention—it’s a celebration of our community’s stories, characters, and heritage. Join us in this exciting gathering of culture, creativity, and fun!  For any inquiries, contact info@mexamericon.com.
