Join Future Front Texas and The Front Market for a candid, hands-on conversation on the world of art markets and craft fairs.

Together, we’ll look at best practices for picking shows and popping up—from booth set-up to marketing tips to planning templates. Whether you’re market-curious, just getting started, or you’re a long-time vendor, this session will be designed for all to share, learn and swap community notes.

Presented by Jane Claire Hervey and Monique Parker of Future Front Texas.

Jane Claire is a creative director, recording artist & accidental nonprofit founder, living and working in Austin, Texas. Originally from the border in South Texas, she currently spends her time running Future Front, a showcase series and community space she started in 2015, as well as own design house, Group Work. Over the last decade, she has collaborated with a range of people & places on curated experiences, thoughtful design strategies and community projects — whether she’s working with independent creatives and orgs or clients like The Line Hotel, Bumble & Red Bull. Outside her professional world, Jane is an electronic producer and vocalist, pulling sonic and visual influences from the likes of Björk and Frank Ocean, her former life as a rodeo queen, the shores of her Gulf Coast hometown, and slow coffee in the morning. Since putting out her first four-track EP “Sour Grapefruit” in 2019, she has played South by Southwest (SXSW) and opened for the likes of OSHUN, Nomi Ruiz, Bunny Michael and more. Her work has been profiled in Texas Monthly and ADWEEK, as well as recognized in the City of Austin’s Women’s Hall of Fame.

Monique Parker is the Devlopment Officer of Future Front Texas. She is also the Owner and CEO of Blow Candle Co., a candle and home fragrance company that strives to create unique and beautiful scents to fit every vibe and moment! She recently opened her first creative studio in Leander, where she holds weekly candle making workshops and provides a space for other female creatives to generate income as well! She is also the Founder and Executive Director of Little Bit of Good, a 501c(3) organization that supports Black-led nonprofits in Central Texas through an innovative 16 week capacity building accelerator program and fund. She is a techie turned candle lady with a heart for community and a passion for diversity and equity. Monique is a self proclaimed "professional hype woman" and takes pride in uplifting and encouraging others in their life ventures. Monique is a mama to two fearless and wild girls (10,3) as well as two crazy goofy pups.
