Join us at the Carver Museum on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. for an interactive event on preserving your personal story and history!
Join Rachel Winston and Jacqueline Smith-Francis, archivists specializing in the preservation of histories by and about people of African descent, for an interactive workshop about preserving Black creative expression and history.
Participants will discuss the importance of preserving legacies about Black/African American communities and leave with practical tips about how to safely store special keepsakes for the benefit of personal enjoyment and future generations to share and appreciate.
Attendees will receive their very own archival kit to help them start or continue their preservation journeys.
