
The City of Austin's Asian American Resource Center (AARC) is hosting its annual CelebrASIA Austin event on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 11am to 3pm! The family-friendly festival is free and open to the public and celebrates Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. This indoor/outdoor event offers a variety of performances, food vendors, exhibits, and cultural experiences for the entire family.

Join us in our annual CelebrASIA event as an artist, vendor, performer, or organization helping us put on this fun cultural celebration! The festival attracts approximately 1000-1500 attendees.
- AAPI+ Artists working in a variety of media are invited to submit artwork for a curated group exhibition opening on CelebrASIA Austin 2025 and closing on June 6th, 2025. Artists are limited to two artworks each. All artwork submitted must be available to showcase in-person at the AARC. Artists must be able to travel to and from the AARC for install and deinstall needs. Artworks that are connected to or inspired by Asian American History and community building are encouraged. Artists must submit photos of their work along with their application on Submittable.
- Performances are open to individuals or groups for dance, theater, vocal, comedy or other entertainments arts on the stage. Performances that demonstrate the depth and breadth of the Asian American and Asian diaspora are encouraged.
- Food Vendors are responsible for providing all items needed for food vending including, but not limited to, equipment for food service, power source, serving ware, permit compliance items, payment processing systems, signage with menu items, extension cords, hand wash and sanitize washing station. Food Vendors are selected based on cuisine and menu.
- Cultural Experience Rooms are an opportunity for community groups to transform AARC's classrooms into a cultural exploration of an Asian or Pacific Island community (ethnic group, nation, region, culture, identity, or community). The classrooms range in size from 300 - 640 square feet. Cultural Experience Rooms must be very visually engaging and include hands-on activities or demonstrations. No merchandise or food may be served or sold in the rooms to the public.
- Community tables are an opportunity for community groups to share important information and resources with event attendees. Groups are encouraged to include an activity at their table. No merchandise or food may be served or sold to the public. Promotional items are allowed. Community tables are reserved for non-profit, cultural, professional, and affinity organizations. A table and 2 chairs will be provided.
Applications are due by February 28, 2025 at 11:59pm. Applicants will be notified of participation no later than March 14, 2025.
