On May 2, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: He is having problems getting APD to respond to his calls. He lives
down the street from a school and there have been incidents involving someone doing donuts in
the middle of the road at
.
It has happened a number of times. He called APD and was told
to call back if it happened again. He called back because the same truck did come back again. He
called twice and was brushed off. Even though he was told to call back if it happened again APD
still did not respond. There are a lot of kids in the neighborhood, and he just wants APD to respond
to his calls because it keeps happening early mornings around the same time.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine
if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal
Civil Service Rules.
