NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
September 19, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0818
On September 16, 2022, the OPO received an email complaint.
The complainant alleges: Hello, my name is
I called the cops on
my son
) on the
because he was acting out and hadn't been taking
his medication. He knocked the phone out of my hand. (no harm to me) and threw it at the
patio glass door and busted it, again. Now he is being charged with a felony. (the first).
I
told the officers that he wasn't taking meds properly. There were "mental officers" there
and being that they're trained, why didn't they take him to the hospital for treatment, instead
of jail? The charges are mind boggling. A few weeks prior,
had an
appointment and I was asking his Doctor if he could admit him SO that he could get back
to normal. He stated that the police would have a say if they came out again. He also asked
me to call him and let him know if he goes back to jail. did). I'm just trying to say there
seems to be some mixed information when it comes to who detects jail or hospital time? I
asked his Dr. to see if they were at least giving him the proper meds, if not, hospitalize
him. He's throwed off. Talking to himself, hearing voices and throwing away all his clothes
and shoes. He needs help. Do you all know about AB 1810? Please help get this right. I
think jail will make him worse. Years ago when the judge released him from
he told
that he went back to the hospital, his stay would be longer.
Hello again, it's me,
I am just trying to relay some more information
about
His doctor says it's the officer's choice to have a person with
a mental disability hospitalized. The police officer's say that it's his Doctor's choice for
hospitalization. It seems like there's misinformation. (They have to wait until something
bad happens). I don't understand why the officer's didn't have him hospitalized the night
they arrested him instead of taking him to jail. He was showing that he was having mental
issues. Does anyone care or understand what is going on? I need assistance, I can't do this
alone. Trying to help him not get --lost in the system. Please respond or call me at
